Here's a follow up to last week's post, Foreign Correspondence.
As I mentioned after seeing our posts and letters, several other women wanted in on the action so Alex Mitchell , the one who started all of this in the first place, got us organized via Facebook.
I will post the letters that I make and receive but only after the recipient gets theirs. I don't want to ruin the surprise after all.
I have boxes of vintage paper and I like to start by sewing it together. The use of envelopes inspired pockets and that became the running theme.
This is my letter to Janet O'Rourke. She called and told me that she received it and that it would be on it's way back shortly. If I'm not mistaken, glitter was mentioned. Hmmmmmmm.
The "front" of the letter. I wanted to leave a place for her to do her thing.
The "back" of the letter. You can see where there's a folded doily in a pocket. I also included some vintage wampum.
Another view of the back with the doily pulled out and open.
As soon as I receive Janet's I will post photos. Two of the other letters that I made are on their way to Spain and the third is headed to France. Photos will be posted as soon as I know they arrived so stay tuned!
