Creative Weekend

The last time my talented friends Lori Siebert and Robin Davis were in Atlanta we swore we would get together at Lori's sometime in the spring and make stuff. Well we actually did it a couple of weekends ago.

Although we had a little something that we worked on as a group; each of us also had something specific that we wanted to work on individually. What it boiled down to was that we were playing and it was pretty great.

Robin had just taken an online class using inks and stamping and she was eager to explore that. Lori wanted to make backgrounds and I wanted to make a shadow box using some of the flowers I made for the Stitched tutorial that I put together. I also made a corsage for my mother-in-laws birthday.

We had an amazing time and can't wait to do it again. We have vowed to try and do this every 6 months and I really hope that we do.

 Naturally, wine was involved.

Birthday corsage-this would also be great for Mother's Day!

If you would like more information about making the flowers I used in the shadow box you can hop over to the Stitched site. You get 20+ classes for $89.

  1. Oh, I love the shadowbox. I still have some paper left - I should do a few of the smaller ones now that I've had some practice.

  2. Oh my sweet Paula, this is such fun!! I love the shadowbox!! It's so inspiring to come by and see how you are doing. Have a lovely merry happy sunday and love to you!
