Clearing the Clutter

Lately it seems as though every aspect of my life is filled with clutter. The house, the studio, the closets, my desk and even more distressing....... my head.
I don't know if it's the back to back trips that Tom and I had or the onset of Spring that's doing it but it all needs to go.

The physical cutter is easy-I have been going through EVERYTHING and listing things on Etsy, ebay and Craigslist like a mad woman.

Here are a few of the fabulous ebay offerings.

I also listed some of my most favorite messenger bags from Robert le Hero's, 10 Swedish Designers and Danica Studio.

The brain clutter is a little more difficult to organize. Too many ideas and flying around up there along with some pretty big projects. I am getting bogged down just thinking about all of it. If there is one thing I have learned in my life it's this...... All I can do is take a deep breath, make a list, start at the top and tackle each item as it comes up and start crossing things off one at a time. So that's what I am going to do, right after I have 14 more cups of coffee.

Hope your week is less discombobulated than mine.

  1. Paula, I am feeling exactly the same way lately. I'm tackling the closets this week. It feels good to clear out the clutter and makes room for some other good stuff to happen. I've got my coffee and my list! Somehow, doing the clearing helps calm the mental overwhelm. BTW, love your Ebay items, I'm sure they'll go fast.

  2. Very universal, Paula. I'm in much the same space and I just found out the garage I've been renting needs to be cleared out! That means sifting through remote cars, old artwork, school papers, photos/frames, books, paint cans/supplies, etc., etc. Even though I've moved 4 times in the last 5 years, I still have JUNK! CLUTTER! But, today, I'm going to tackle the paper clutter in my living space, if I do nothing else! One thing at a time on that never-ending list, just like you said. You took action - that's inspirational!

  3. Hi Paula, I just had to say I was taking a break from things and am doing the same thing! So when I saw your post I had to chuckle, pop in & say I am trying not to be overwhelmed and am determined to clear my space too!!I know I will have to pace myself, but it has to be done before I unravel. lol xo Theresa
