When I saw that Beth Nichols was organizing " The Great Big Stitched Postcard Swap" I knew I had to participate. Although this was my first time Beth has been doing this for the past three years. People from 5 continents were stitching and swapping handmade cards with Love as the theme.
My card came from Sue Laughton in California.
Since I am a sucker for stitching, color and pattern I loved the card. But then again what's not to love about a handmade card?
This is the back of the card. Again, LOVE!
My card went across the pond to Ros Burton in the UK.
Making handmade cards is something that I really enjoy. They come together pretty quickly and there's no pressure (unless you're in a hurry to get a thank you note out). Typically I try to send a handmade card if someone has done something special for me.
Here are a few more that I have made over the years.
Canary card for Chad's birthday.
Trio of collaged cards.
"Coupon" card good for 1 lunch for my friend Renee's birthday.
Thank you card for Ernie and Brian for a trip to Maine.
Thank you card for friends in Florida.
Anniversary card for Raoul and Danielle who celebrated their 10th in Ischia.
Some are painted, others are collaged and stitched but I like to think that they are all special.
Thanks for stopping by!
