Holiday Inspiration

With a Christmas project deadline looming I needed to come up with some Christmas inspiration fast. No easy task when it's 95 and 90% humidity.
I started to go through my holiday files when I remembered that I bought a stash of holiday-themed scrapbooks on a trip to Cincinnati. There are 12 in the collection and each one is more spectacular than the last.

Some industrious woman put these together by holiday (there is even one titled "Lent") and they include decorating ideas, menus, recipes and even make-up tips. Most of the articles are dated 1957.

Article titles include: "Family Eats Scrambled Eggs As Shells Become Works of Art", "The Marvelous Mitten Tree", "Spangles for the House", "These Dandies are Candies" and, well I could go on and on.

Maybe I should look for a publisher........
"Christmas Radiance"

"How to Wrap"

"These Dandies are Candies"
