Last week I spent a few days working on some new products with Lori Siebert. She has lots of fun stuff to play with and we a great time making a mess of her studio.
It was a nice change of pace for me to get back to working with fabric and ephemera; something that I used to really enjoy but haven't had the time to do.
Many moons ago, when Margo Tantau had the Relish Showroom, she and I we would get together every Sunday morning and applique. We tried hard not to think too much about what we were doing. If one of us got stuck trying to pick that "just right" piece of fabric the other one would randomly pick a piece from the pile, toss it over and say "here use this". It worked out pretty well.
Since I can't show any of the "top secret" designs that Lori and I worked on I thought I would post some of the pieces that I did when I had time to work in applique. These were created in or around 2003.
