I'm putting the image for February up a little early. Tomorrow I head to NY for the Gift Show and will be gone for a week. I have heard that it's freezing in NY and that there is a chance of snow. Woo hoo for the snow part but boo hoo for the freezing temperatures. The sketches for 3 2012 calendars are completed and I can't wait to start painting. A series of chocolates and other assorted sweets is also in the works.

The Gift show was busy; buyers and exhibitors had an upbeat attitude. The general feeling was that things were getting back to normal. Nature, shells, peacocks and birds are still strong themes.
Several artist friends stopped by the studio for drinks and appetizers. It was great to see old friends and to meet new ones. We had a great time comparing notes and passing along helpful information to each other.
I met with several new potential clients and will keep everyone posted when new products get out there on the market.
Thanks for all of the posts regarding the Girlfriends Calendars and the Family Activity Planners. I passed them along to Lang so we'll see what happens. Lang is producing a 2011 Note Nook Calendar with my art and I will post an image as soon as I have one.
